- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to accurately diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Interpret and analyze imaging results to make accurate diagnoses and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and technicians, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in radiology technology and techniques, and implement them in practice.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by following safety protocols and providing clear instructions and information throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, answering any questions and addressing concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Mentor and train residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in radiology techniques and procedures.

Medical Degree: A Qualified Radiologist At Cleveland Clinic Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School. This Includes Completing A Residency Program In Radiology And Obtaining A License To Practice Medicine.
Board Certification: Candidates Must Be Board Certified In Diagnostic Radiology Or Interventional Radiology By The American Board Of Radiology. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met Rigorous Standards Of Knowledge And Competence In Their Field.
Fellowship Training: Cleveland Clinic Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Fellowship Program In A Specialized Area Of Radiology Such As Musculoskeletal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Or Cardiovascular Imaging. This Additional Training Demonstrates A Commitment To Continued Learning And Expertise In A Specific Area.
Clinical Experience: Candidates Must Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience As A Radiologist, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Setting. This Experience Should Include Interpreting A Wide Range Of Diagnostic Imaging Studies And Performing Interventional Procedures.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: As A Member Of A Multidisciplinary Team, A Radiologist At Cleveland Clinic Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals, Explain Imaging Results To Patients, And Provide Guidance To Trainees. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary For Building Relationships With Patients And Colleagues.
