- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all regulatory and legal requirements that apply to the City of Santa Clara.
- Create and implement compliance policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address any potential compliance issues.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure compliance requirements are met in all areas.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations and make necessary updates to compliance policies and procedures.
- Communicate with regulatory agencies and respond to any inquiries or requests for information.
- Investigate and address any reported compliance violations.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Monitor and track any potential risks related to compliance and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Serve as a liaison between the City of Santa Clara and external auditors during compliance audits.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance activities.
- Participate in external training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to compliance.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations for streamlining compliance processes.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Law, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Compliance Management, Preferably In A Government Or Municipal Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Government Compliance, Such As Flsa, Ada, And Hipaa.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Apply Complex Legal Requirements.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Various Departments And Stakeholders.
