Community Social Service Technician

We are seeking a talented and experienced Community Social Service Technician to join the City of Jersey City. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail. This position requires a motivated and reliable individual who is capable of working independently and as part of a team.The Community Social Service Technician will be responsible for providing critical support to the City of Jersey City's commitment to our community. This includes working with vulnerable populations, providing guidance and referral services, and connecting clients with resources. The Technician will also collaborate with other departments and organizations to ensure the successful delivery of service.The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in a social service setting. Experience in a public sector setting is preferred. In addition, the candidate should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with a diverse population. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as be a team player.
