Conduct research and gather data to support the planning and design of infrastructure projects.
Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
Assist in the review and analysis of engineering plans, reports, and proposals.
Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Utilize various software and tools to assist in the design and analysis of projects.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and the public regarding project updates and progress.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of project activities.
Continuously identify and suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, trends, and advancements.
Provide support and assistance to other members of the engineering team as needed.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to the community.
Uphold the values and mission of the City of Fountain Valley.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Job Qualifications

Associate Degree In Engineering Technology Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Municipal Setting.
Proficiency In Cad Software And Other Engineering Design Tools.
Knowledge Of Construction Methods And Materials, As Well As Relevant Safety Regulations.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues.
