As a Registered Nurse in our OR, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and effective care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.   1. Provide compassionate and exceptional care to pediatric patients and their families in the Operating Room department.
  2. Assess and monitor patient's condition before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed and monitor their effectiveness.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care.
  6. Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide education and support.
  8. Assist in the preparation and organization of the operating room for surgical procedures.
  9. Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  11. Advocate for the needs and rights of pediatric patients and their families.
  12. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in pediatric healthcare.
  13. Mentor and provide guidance to new staff and students.
  14. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: A Registered Nurse At Cincinnati Children's Must Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited University Or College. This Ensures That The Nurse Has Received Comprehensive Training In The Field Of Nursing And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Care.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of Ohio: All Applicants For A Registered Nurse Position At Cincinnati Children's Must Hold A Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Ohio. This License Is Obtained By Passing The Nclex-Rn Exam And Ensures That The Nurse Has Met The State's Requirements For Practicing Nursing.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Pediatric Nursing Experience: Cincinnati Children's Is A Pediatric Hospital, And As Such, Requires Its Registered Nurses To Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Nursing. This Ensures That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Caring For Pediatric Patients.

  • Bls And Pals Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals) Certifications Are Required For All Registered Nurse Positions At Cincinnati Children's. These Certifications Indicate That The Nurse Is Trained In Life-Saving Techniques And Is Able To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Registered Nurses At Cincinnati Children's Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families, As Well As Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide Comprehensive Care.
