
Sports Medicine Physical Therapist

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Sports Medicine Physical Therapist to join our team. - Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans for young patients with sports-related injuries.
- Provide individualized treatment and rehabilitation services to young athletes, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Monitor and track progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention and proper techniques for sports activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for young athletes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in sports medicine to provide the best possible care to patients.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice set by the American Physical Therapy Association and state regulations.
- Comply with hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and goals.
- Act as an advocate for young patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Attend continuing education courses and conferences to enhance knowledge and skills in sports medicine and pediatric physical therapy.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
- Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and promote overall health and wellness in the pediatric population.
Doctor Of Physical Therapy (Dpt) Degree From An Accredited Program.
Current State Licensure As A Physical Therapist In Pennsylvania.
Certification In Sports Physical Therapy (Scs) From The American Board Of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Sports Medicine, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Common Pediatric Sports Injuries And Treatments, As Well As Experience In Developing And Implementing Individualized Treatment Plans For Young Athletes.
