Job Description

At Children's Hospital Colorado, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Behavioral Health Policy Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing policies and procedures related to behavioral health services for our young patients.   1. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for behavioral health services at Children's Hospital Colorado.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and policies.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to implement policies and procedures related to behavioral health.
  4. Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for policy changes.
  5. Conduct research on best practices in behavioral health and integrate them into policies and procedures.
  6. Train staff on new policies and procedures and ensure understanding and adherence.
  7. Act as a liaison between Children's Hospital Colorado and external agencies, such as government entities and insurance providers, to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  8. Stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare policies and regulations related to behavioral health and make necessary updates to hospital policies.
  9. Participate in meetings and committees to provide input and expertise on behavioral health policies and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to develop quality improvement initiatives related to behavioral health services.
  11. Communicate and educate patients and families about behavioral health policies and procedures.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures, making adjustments as needed.
  13. Work with the Senior Leadership team to develop strategic plans and goals for behavioral health services.
  14. Act as an advocate for children's mental health and promote awareness and education on the importance of behavioral health services.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Behavioral Health Policy Development And Implementation At A Healthcare Institution Or Government Agency.

  • Advanced Degree In Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Policy, Or Related Field.

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Behavioral Health And Healthcare Policy.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Leading And Coordinating Cross-Functional Teams To Develop And Implement Policies And Procedures.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Policy Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders.
