
Behavioral Health Specialist

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' behavioral health needs, including psychological, social, and environmental factors.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, their family, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to address behavioral health concerns and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Advocate for patients' mental health needs and ensure their rights are respected.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field of behavioral health.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other professional development activities.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients and families in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with community organizations and resources to connect patients and families with additional support and services.
- Uphold the mission, values, and standards of Children's Hospital Colorado in all interactions and activities.
Master's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably Working With Children And Adolescents.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches For Behavioral Health Disorders.
Experience Conducting Diagnostic Assessments And Developing Treatment Plans.
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Support To Patients And Their Families.
