  1. Develop and implement DevOps strategies and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers in implementing DevOps best practices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  4. Design, build, and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps tools and technologies.
  7. Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and propose solutions.
  8. Conduct code reviews and ensure code quality and standards are met.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in a timely manner.
  10. Participate in on-call rotations and handle production issues as needed.
  11. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve processes and systems.
  12. Collaborate with other teams to integrate new features and services into existing systems.
  13. Document processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  14. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
  15. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Development: A Senior Software Engineer, Devops At Capital One Must Have A Strong Background In Software Development, Including Proficiency In Programming Languages Such As Java, Python, Or Ruby. They Should Also Have Experience With Software Development Methodologies, Such As Agile Or Scrum.

  • Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, And Infrastructure Automation. They Should Also Have Experience With Devops Tools Such As Docker, Kubernetes, And Jenkins.

  • Cloud Computing Expertise: As A Senior Software Engineer, Devops At Capital One, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Cloud Computing Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Scalable, Secure, And Highly Available Cloud-Based Solutions.

  • Leadership And Teamwork Skills: A Senior Software Engineer, Devops Is Expected To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Engineers, So Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential. They Should Also Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Effectively With Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.
