Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field: A Licensed Loan Officer In Michigan Should Have A Strong Educational Background In Finance Or A Related Field To Understand The Complexities Of The Mortgage Industry.
State-Issued Mortgage Loan Originator (Mlo) License: In Order To Legally Originate Loans In Michigan, A Licensed Loan Officer Must Have A Current Mlo License Issued By The State.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Mortgage Lending: Better Mortgage Prefers Candidates With At Least 2 Years Of Experience In The Mortgage Industry, As This Demonstrates A Strong Understanding Of The Lending Process And Regulations.
Proven Track Record Of Successful Loan Origination: A Successful Licensed Loan Officer Should Have A Track Record Of Consistently Meeting Or Exceeding Loan Origination Goals And Providing Excellent Customer Service.
Strong Knowledge Of Mortgage Products And Guidelines: In Order To Best Serve Clients, A Licensed Loan Officer Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Different Mortgage Products And Guidelines, Including Federal And State Regulations.
