- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, public areas, and offices in accordance with established procedures and infection control guidelines.
- Perform routine and specialized cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting.
- Monitor and maintain adequate supply levels of cleaning and sanitation products, notifying management when supplies are low.
- Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Assist with the set-up and breakdown of equipment and supplies for special events or meetings.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
- Continuously monitor and improve the cleanliness and appearance of all assigned areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Follow established protocols for handling, labeling, and disposing of biohazardous waste.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Stay up-to-date on new cleaning techniques and infection control procedures to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence within the department.
- Ensure compliance with all Atrium Health policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and patient privacy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to help maintain a high level of service and patient satisfaction.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Atrium Health Requires All Environmental Services Technicians To Have A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Atrium Health Values Candidates Who Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Facility, As This Demonstrates Knowledge Of Infection Control Protocols And The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Knowledge Of Cleaning And Disinfecting Techniques: As An Environmental Services Technician, It Is Important To Have A Strong Understanding Of Proper Cleaning And Disinfecting Techniques To Maintain A Safe And Sanitary Environment For Patients, Visitors, And Staff.
