Job Description

Ascension Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our tiny patients. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and a strong commitment to providing quality patient care.This role requires a Registered Nurse with at least two years' experience in a NICU setting. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable managing all aspects of care for critically ill newborns. The successful RN will have an in-depth understanding of neonatal care and will be able to provide guidance and support to families.The successful RN must be a team player and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and patient caregiver with the ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations. A commitment to providing the best care possible to our fragile patients is essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting.
  2. Utilize in-depth knowledge and understanding of neonatal care to provide guidance and support to families.
  3. Manage all aspects of care for critically ill newborns.
  4. Remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
  5. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals.
  6. Make sure that the best care possible is provided to fragile patients.
  7. Ensure patient safety and provide comfort to patients and their families.
  8. Maintain patient records and documentation accurately and in accordance with standards.
  9. Monitor patient progress and consult with physicians or other healthcare professionals as needed.
  10. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  11. Follow established protocols and procedures for patient care.
  12. Provide education and support to families about patient care and treatment plans.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure

  • Two Years Of Experience In Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (Nrp) Certification

  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support (Nals) Certification
