Job Description

Applied Materials is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Domestic Tax Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of domestic tax compliance and planning. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced tax professionals, assisting with various tax projects and providing support for day-to-day tax operations.   1. Assist with tax compliance processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and timely filing of tax returns.
  2. Conduct research and analysis on various tax issues and assist in developing tax planning strategies.
  3. Collaborate with experienced tax professionals to complete tax projects and provide support for day-to-day tax operations.
  4. Maintain organized and accurate tax records and documentation.
  5. Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations and communicate any changes or updates to the team.
  6. Assist with the preparation of tax provisions and other financial reporting requirements.
  7. Provide support for tax audits and assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
  8. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams within the organization.
  9. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve tax processes and procedures.
  10. Take initiative to learn and develop new skills related to tax compliance and planning.
  11. Complete assigned tasks with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders throughout the organization.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive tax information.
  15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the tax team.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Tax Laws And Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Domestic Tax Laws And Regulations Is Essential For A Domestic Tax Intern At Applied Materials. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Tax Codes, As Well As Any Relevant Industry Regulations.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Domestic Tax Intern, You Will Be Responsible For Reviewing And Analyzing A Large Volume Of Financial Data. Attention To Detail Is Critical To Ensure Accuracy And Compliance With Tax Laws And Regulations.
