- Develop and execute a comprehensive disease area strategy for cardiovascular and general medicines, in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key initiatives and opportunities within the disease area, and drive their successful execution.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for the disease area strategy.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to inform and adjust the disease area strategy as needed.
- Drive the development and implementation of innovative approaches to address unmet needs in the disease area, through partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the disease area, providing guidance and insights to internal teams and external partners.
- Develop and manage the disease area budget, ensuring efficient use of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, and build relationships with key opinion leaders and other external stakeholders in the disease area.
- Mentor and develop a team of professionals to support the disease area strategy and drive business growth.
- Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to disease area strategy development and execution.
Advanced Degree In Medicine: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Medicine, Such As An Md Or Do, With A Focus On Cardiovascular Or General Medicines. This Will Ensure That The Individual Has A Strong Understanding Of The Disease Area And Can Effectively Lead Strategy Development.
Extensive Experience In Cardiovascular/General Medicines: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In The Cardiovascular Or General Medicines Field, With A Proven Track Record Of Success In Developing And Executing Disease Area Strategies.
Leadership Skills: As An Executive Director And Disease Area Strategy Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team And Driving Cross-Functional Collaboration.
