Current Lpn License: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Licensed Practical Nurse Job At Amedisys Is Having A Current And Valid Lpn License In The State Where The Job Is Located. This License Is Obtained Through Completing An Accredited Lpn Program And Passing The National Council Licensure Examination (Nclex-Pn).
Relevant Experience: Amedisys May Prefer Candidates Who Have Previous Experience As An Lpn In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In Home Health Or Hospice Care. This Experience Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Provide High-Quality Care And Work Well In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
Knowledge Of Nursing Principles And Practices: As An Lpn, It Is Essential To Have A Strong Understanding Of Nursing Principles And Practices, Including Medication Administration, Wound Care, And Patient Assessment. Amedisys May Require Candidates To Have A Certain Number Of Hours Of Clinical Experience In These Areas.
