  1. Provide compassionate care to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey.
  2. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  3. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  4. Administer medication and treatments as directed by the hospice nurse.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the hospice team.
  6. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
  8. Document patient care and observations accurately and timely.
  9. Collaborate with the hospice team to develop and implement care plans.
  10. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  12. Demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, and respect towards patients and their families.
  13. Continuously strive to improve the quality of care provided to patients.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  15. Comply with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  16. Stay updated on current knowledge and practices in hospice care.
  17. Display a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  18. Foster a supportive and caring environment for patients and their families.
  19. Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
  20. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Amedisys Hospice.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Cna Certification: Amedisys Requires All Cna Hospice Applicants To Hold A Valid Cna Certification In The State Where They Will Be Working.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Hospice Or Palliative Care: Amedisys Prefers Candidates Who Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In A Hospice Or Palliative Care Setting.

  • Knowledge Of End-Of-Life Care: The Ideal Candidate For A Cna Hospice Job At Amedisys Should Have A Strong Understanding Of End-Of-Life Care And Be Familiar With The Unique Needs Of Hospice Patients.

  • Compassionate And Empathetic Nature: As A Cna Hospice, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients And Their Families During A Difficult Time. Amedisys Looks For Candidates Who Possess A Compassionate And Empathetic Nature.
